Delete your Veilstride account
You can delete your Veilstride account, and everything stored with it, at any time. There are two ways.
In the game (straight away)
- Open Veilstride and make sure your phone is online.
- Open Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account… and read what will be deleted.
- Type DELETE in the box, then tap Delete my account.
Our server deletes your account at once. The game then clears your progress from the phone, says "Your account and data were deleted." and starts afresh, as if newly installed. If the game can't reach the server, it says so and deletes nothing; try again when you're online.
By email (if you can't use the game)
Lost your phone, or uninstalled the game? Email clarkcreative27@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Veilstride account", and include one of these so we can find the account:
- your screen name and friend code (shown in the game under Settings → Account), or
- the email address you signed up with, if you added one.
We'll reply to confirm, then delete the account within 30 days.
What's deleted
- your account, and your email and password if you added them;
- your cloud save: every hero, their progress, items and stash, the Journal (including your step total), your home base and any dungeon walk in progress;
- your screen name, friend code and hero card;
- your friends and friend requests, gifts you've sent that haven't been claimed, gifts waiting for you, and the record of gifts you've sent;
- anything you're sharing: your spot on friends' maps (Adventure together) and a shared dungeon walk.
Deleting can't be undone. Your heroes can't be restored afterwards.
What's kept, and for how long
- Nothing tied to your account. Every table that holds your data is deleted with it.
- Feedback you sent (bug reports and ideas from the game's bug button) is kept for at most 12 months to fix bugs, but no longer linked to your account. If you'd like it deleted too, say so when you email us.
- Server request logs (internet addresses, kept by our host, Supabase, for its standard log period) expire on their own.
- Shared map data (map squares built from OpenStreetMap) contains no personal data and isn't linked to you, so it stays.
- On your phone, the game keeps its device settings (text size, volume and the like). Uninstalling the game removes those too.
